Hello,

I’m trying to simulate buckling of a thin walled cylinder under external pressure.  My model is a 36” OD open ended cylinder that is 5” long.  I want to simulate the buckling caused by a pressure applied to the entire outside surface.  I’m having trouble applying a fixture to the cylinder that doesn’t impact the buckling simulation.  Can recommend or explain how to use a fixture that doesn’t impact the loading or end conditions?
