Does any one know if it is possible to break a view diagonally (at an angle)? I have attached an example of my dilemma. I would like to break my stair stringer design on my 2D drawing in a diagonal perpendicular to the stringer. The 2D drawing function only allows horizontal or vertical. I can use alternate position however that makes the stringer lay flat and that not standard. My objective is to keep the view parametric as well. I called my subscription provider, and the Tech who I believe is good, said there isn't a way. However, I watched a You tube Tutorial from Javelin entitled "Tech Tip: SOLIDWORKS 2015 Tutorial - Assembly Break Views", and it shows a model view being broken in an assembly (model break view). I am hopeful, and this is part of my question,- can a broken view created in a assembly as a configuration be also used in the 2D drawing views for a drawing? It seems like it would? Does anyone know for sure?
