Does anyone have any recommendations on good books for doing some more of the advanced stuff in the API, specifically working with macro features?

I have reached the point were the API help is not really that helpful when it comes to using the methods and does not have any examples. I have been able to survive using trial and error so far but its getting to be impractical. Working with VBA right now but am comfortable in .NET and C#.
