Scenario:

I have several parts in an assembly, linked to a drawig with a standard solidworks BOM Table. None of these parts have any custom properties, and there are no values in the "Description" column.

Intent:

I would like to assign descriptions to these components by double clicking the cell in the table, pressing the "Keep Links" button on the dialog that pops up, and having the inputed value be assigned as a global custom property of that part called "Description".

This ALMOST works.

Problem:

When I edit the cell, it creates a custom property in the part, but it creates a CONFIGURATION property instead of a GLOBAL property.

Anyone have any ideas on how to default to create a GLOBAL property?
