I do not know of any way to provide for this at the assembly level.If, as you say, the operation needs to be tied to the piece partlevel, then it must be defined there.

Therefore, I would suggest that you create the "operation" in eachpart file as a Custom File Property. If you proceed this way, thenthe custom file property can be used in notes, callouts and in yourBOMs, such as; "\\\$Prp@AssyOP".
