First post and a new SW user.  Long time Inventor user at a high level and our ME team is learning SW so as to support other BUs.

Trying to get my head around assembly BoMs as we use the assembly to drive the drawing BoM and subsequent export to CSV format that is used for import the BoM into our MRP system.

I have a query regarding the formatting of the item numbering.   In our BoMs we have designed parts as 1xx numbers, purchased parts as 3xx numbers and stock fasteners as 4xx numbers.  I have provisionally ordered the assembly so that I can use this to set the general BoM order but how do I go about renumbering the purchased parts and fasteners to 3xx and 4xx items respectively?
