Good afternoon ladies & gents,
I got a file I'd like you to check out and see if you can let me know if I'm crazy or not. I wanted to redraw a cable clamp that was imported from AutoCAD, but before I started copying sketches I was going to move the bodies to the part file origin, and get things lined up on the 3 primary planes.
First thing, I used a sketch on the right plane and used convert entities to redraw the U-bolt. (Sweep1).
Then, I used Body-Move/Copy1(concentric mate) to get the hunk of metal over there so I could start redrawing it in place.
I decided that I wanted the two 1/4-20 nuts to come along with it afterwards. Notice they've been added to the "Bodies to move" in the Move feature. Yet they stay in place.
Delete the Body-Move/Copy1. Everything sits right where it is, even after a Cntrl+Q forced rebuild.
Maybe it's because I haven't used it in a while or all that often, but I thought supressing or deleting a Body-Move feature put the bodies where they were before the feature. Whatever I do with this particular feature appears to be permanent.
SolidWorks 2012 SP4, Win7 64bit.
Where am I going wrong?
