I have a 3D model of a very large assembly we are constructing at our company. The model is solid parts indicating the final look and dimensions of what we will be constructing. My question is, if I can explain myself well enough, is what is the best way to go about working within this model essentially as a guide to filling in the internal components to show how this is built? Basically what I would love to do is to turn this solid model assembly into a single sketch model using construction lines for a guide. From there I could all of the various curves and faces to build this model as an actual part assembly and not just a pretty 3D picture. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.
