I've just reformatted my Dell Precision M6400 HD, installed W7 x 64 and have downloaded all the latest updates for it.
This is a standalone computer with me as the only user, I have SolidWorks 2011 on disc ready to install.
This is the only computer that I use for work so it has to run everything such as Sage accounts & payroll, MS Office etc.
I was wondering what is the best course of action with regards to installing all the programs, i.e should I install SW first or after I have installed all my other applications or does it not make any difference?
The other question I have is while installing SW, should I just let it do its own thing or should I be looking to install certain items to specific folders that I might need to create. I have not got any templates or other items to bring into it and all my existing drawings are on an external HD.
