Good morning,
I've been trying to solve this problem for quite some time and I'm hoping someone could shed some insight as to either why it's happening, or how to fix it moving forward. I have attached a part for reference.
We have only started using SW full time in our shop in the last year or two, so we're still trying to nail everything down. This is one issue that for us, comes up on a nearly weekly basis.
I have a part which I have attached (TEST-BDY). I have drawn it using the inside clear dimensions that are required to bend the part to the standard we have been bending for 5+ years. However, when I convert it to Flatpattern, the dimensions on the center bend and the two on either side, never come out as intended.
On this particular part, the I.D. for the part should be:
14.5" H
8.875" W from Centerline
1.25" W Edge Flange on the top of either side.
For some reason, when I flatten the part my dimensions come as follows:
14.49" H
8.94" W from Centerline
1.25" W Edge Flange
Any suggestions? Am I missing something?
