Something that has frustrated me for a while is when I set up my template, I set the balloons to layer "balloon" with the color orange in the document settings. But still when I add balloons they are placed on whatever current layer I am on with that layer's color. Is there a way to get this to work properly? Same problem with notes and probably anything else you can set to default layers. Am I missing something?

I am using Solidworks 2012 Premium x64 Edition, SP5.0
