Assembly write access when editing part in context

Hi all,

When editing a part in the context of an assembly, does the assembly have to be checked out from EPDM?

I have noticed that when I exit the in context mode for the part after creating links in context, I get the message 'Document ....SLDASM is opened for read-only access and is not available for write access. You must obtain write access to this document to complete the operation'.

However, if I click OK everything works fine, which makes sense since all the in context links are stored in the part file.

So what is the reason for that message?

Thanks
