I've recently just started using solidworks and I am creating a model of an aircraft. At the moment I have the cabin, nose and tail-plane completed as separate parts and now need to convert these into assemblies plus one complete model.

What are my options for converting them into assemblies as my lecturer does not want me to use the mating method, any ideas or help?
