Hey guys,
I'm new to design tables. I'm working with one now that I want to basically build an assembly for me. I think the way it should work is this way. (I am using sheet metal panels to form walls for all practical purposes)
Let's say I want to have an option to make a 7'6" wide x 10' tall wall made from (3) 30"wx120"tall panels, or i can make a 8'wide by 10' tall wall made from (4) 24"wx120"tall panels.
What I did was insert both the 30" and 24" panels and mated them to the origin. Then I did a linear component array for both of them. I have (3) 30" panels interferring with (4) 24" panels all connected together at this point. Now I personally can toggle the suppression state of the parts and linear component arrays to give me what i want. However, when trying to create a design table, I cannot seem to figure out if there is a way to suppress whole components and linear arrays from a design table. I can adjust the linear number of panels and i can adjust how far between each part in the array. Any help would be much appreciated.
Basically, my ultimate goal with design tables is I want the ability to have a design table ask how long and tall I want my wall to be and be able to figure out if it needs 30" panels or 24" panels and then assembly it for me. Then be able to add a roof depending on how far apart the walls are. Any ideas on the ultimate goal are much appreciated as well.
