Are you, or have you used Lightweight Mode in recent years within your assemblies?

SOLIDWORKS has introduced solutions that allow you to more quickly interact with your dataset.  One of the more flexible methods that have been implemented is Lightweight Mode.  From the Help:

The advantage of using components in Lightweight Mode is that only a subset of its model data is loaded in memory; the remaining model data is loaded on an as-needed basis.  You can improve performance of large assemblies significantly by using lightweight components. Loading an assembly with lightweight components is faster than loading the same assembly with fully resolved components. Assemblies with lightweight components rebuild faster because less data is evaluated.

If you have successfully or unsuccessfully used Lightweight Mode in recent years, what has been your experience?  How were you successfully able to use Lightweight Mode.  What issues did you experience when trying to use Lightweight Mode?  Do you use the setting to automatically open assemblies in Lightweight Mode?  Do you have specific cases of successful or lack thereof which you can share?
