Currently, I am trying to design a lug, that has a side pull force on the lug.  The force being applied in a 40kips, 15 degrees from vertical.  As you can see in the picture I treid applying a remote force in the center of the lug hole ( couldnt figure out how to apply a vector force so I broke it up into components), but as far as I can tell the force is being applied to the whole inside surface; when in reality the forces should be applied to the uppper half via pin, shackle, etc.

Is there a way to model or apply the forces on the upper half of the hole?  I attached a .jpg and the part file.
