I have an assembly which is has somehow decided that it will randomly assign the appearance "Color" to its subassemblies. It started out with one subassembly and has spread throughout the assembly. When I remove the appearance from one subassembly it jumps to another subassembly within the top level assembly (unrelated as in no common parts).

The “Color” appearance is a grey dominant color.

If you can make out the image I am lost.
