I have been in Soilidworks for about a decade, and I work for a manufacturing company creating build documents. I make drawings for digitally cut parts that show each part on it's own page. I then have to open the drawing file, open the part and make a dxf before moving onto the next part.
Is there a way that I can make a macro that:
Opens each part in the drawing from the model, create a dxf that corresponds to the view on the page, creates a dxf from the model part (not from the page) and then moves onto the next part until the end of the sheet layout?
We sometimes have upwards of 100+ parts and having to open the part from the drawing view, keep the view that was shown and create a dxf from the view within the part model and than move to the next is a time consuming task.
I have seen macros that create dxfs from the drawing layout, but I need it to come from the actual model part that is shown.
Is this something that has been asked and a macro has ben created or is this something that can be pieced together from previous macros? - Thank you in advance for any help in figuring this macro out!
