I am using SW2010 SP4.
In our latest project I havea repeating hole pattern on several components. I created a sketch block and saved it out to an external file. When I needed to create the hole pattern on other parts, I just inserted the block and then mated the hole wizard points to the sketch block geometry.
That worked really well. But silly me, I didn't check the "link to file" check box when I inserted the sketch blocks. And now (you saw this coming didn't you) I need to modify the hole pattern.
Is there any way to refresh the existing sketch blocks to match the updated block file?
I tried inserting a copy of the new block into a sketch with the old block. I was hoping that SW would notice the mismatch definition for a block with the same name and ask me to clarify which to use. Nope, SW likes both just fine even with the identical name.
Any work around suggestions are appreciated (besides delete and replace).
Thanks,
Daen
