AMD Phenom 4X 9850 Performance?

Hi!

We are looking to upgrade some machines that were the bleeding-edgeof technology a couple of years ago. They include the AsusM2N-32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ at 2.6Ghzprocessor, 10K rpm HHD, 5Gb 800 DDR2 Memory, FireGL V5200 Video, and Win XP64 OS. These systems are currently benching at 191sec onthe 2009 punch holder benchmark. No laughing please... Honestly, the computers have been rock-solid for Solidworks 2007-2009.

We were looking to upgrade the processor to the AMD Athlon 64 X26400+ at 3.2Ghz; however, that chip seems to be long gone fromstore shelves.

The motherboard also supports up to an AMD Phenom 4X 9850 at2.5Ghz. Does anyone have any punch holder benchmark data on thePhenom 9850? Would this improve SW performance?
