Any body have "Allow Auto Update" not work.  I have allow auto updates checked in the options/drawings/performance. But instead of updating, a dialogue box  pops up stating a drawing view is out of date when opening a drawing and does not update automatically. You must force a rebuild to update. This only happens when the model is not open. Does this feature only work when the model is open?
