all cylinders showing as polygons?! revisited

Ok, I am baffled and have not run across this problem thus far. In certain types of viewing (part mode) any round, fillet, or cylindrical feature shows as sharp edges/polygon.  I have looked in display (OPTIONS) but cannot find where this might be (not anti aliasing).  I am using "my" options, which should override anything the designer would have set anyway if the setting is in there.  I just created a section (for viewing purposes) and this is what I get (left) and on the right is what it actually is. It is more annoying than anything else. I can't quite figure out rhyme or reason as to when it happens, e.g. not every time I create a section or at particular zoom, etc.

OK, so this problem was taken care of with image quality setting (thak you, Mark), but now it is doing it in the drawing.  I checked the setting and slider is still where it is supposed to be but now if I shade a view in my drawing I am getting funky edges.  It is very inconsistent on what types of views this happens.  First, it was a cropped section (below) so I tried others and it does not seem to do it in full views, but does it in some sections but not in others (nothing consistent in them - some are partial, some are full sections).  What is going on?  I am curious to what most of you have your slider at?  Is it right before the red zone?  It's odd I have never run into this before.
