I am trying to open/import an Adobe Illustrator file to usethe artwork to create a cut-extrude. But it's not working!

I open the Illustrator file using file/open and SolidWorks createsa new part file. An hourglass shows up briefly but nothing seems tobe imported or displayed even after zooming in and out. The featuremanager shows no new sketches or objects.

The help says it should create a sketch on the front plane.Presumably this could then be copied wherever needed.
