I'll preface this by saying I am an EE and have zero experience with SolidWorks so this question may be rather simple.

I have cylinder with an irregular surface that is 30" long with an OD of about 6" and I'd like to split this piece in SolidWorks so my 3d printer can accomodate. The build envelop for the printer is 16" wide, 14" deep, and 16" high. It's an FDM printer using an ABS-M30 material. My question is how do I create pins/holes, or tabs/slots in SolidWorks so that I can put these pieces back together after printing? The printer is high res and I can sand and file down if I need to after printing.
