We have some old parts that do not have the flat pattern feature in the design tree. I am trying to add flat patterns to these parts. The only way I have found to add this feature is to delete the sheet metal feature and reinsert a new sheet metal feature, which then causes the faces to be renamed. That in turn blows up literally hundreds of assemblies that are used in many other jobs (we recycle our designs).

Is there any way to reinsert the flat pattern feature without deleting the sheet metal feature?
