Is there a way to add sequence numbers to a revision symbol?

If I am making multiple changes to a large drawing, I'd like to add numbers to the rev symbols to help link them to a change description and make them easier to identify in the drawing. E.g. if I'm going to rev B, change #1 is symbol B1, then B2 etc. See ASME Y14.35 sections 5.3.1 and 5.4.1 (at least those are the section numbers in the 1997 edition I have).

I know I can create the balloons manually, but it would be nice if they could be linked to the rev table. I'm curious to know how others have approached this.
