Hello everyone,

Recently I needed to reverse engineer quite a few broken details by their photos, for further 3D printing.

So far I am doing it manually by importing a photo of the detail to SolidWorks and creating a sketch that fits the outline of the detail.

I wonder if there is a way to automate this process - isn't there some sort of add in that allows to detect the edges ( using computer vision maybe ) and generate the sketch by photo?
