So now I am on day 3 of trying to get this STUPID ACTIVATION ERROR to clear via a VAR in China for my office in APAC.

What exactly is this computer ID that gets generated and in my case, appears to have changed on the exact same server Solidworks was always running on.

The activation error indicates the same server name but different computer ID.

Somehow when I RDP'd into the license server, upgraded the software from 2010 to 2011 I was unable to activite or even give back the serial numbers that already existed on the same physical server!

This is quite frustrating, Dausalt you have gone overboard to the point of annoying your customers with this process.

My local VAR says this is a known problem, my VAR in China is struggling with releasing this!
