Accounting for Weld Shrinkage

I have a very large weldment that I am getting ready torelease for production (~20 tons) and our weld shop has estimatedthat every full penetration groove weld will shrink approximately1/8".

So in an effort to compensate for this, I would like to add someadditional length to certain parts, but at the same time, I don'twant to distort my assemblies (I do not use the SW WeldmentFunctionality.)

I was thinking of either overiding the dimension or making multipleconfigurations, but both of these scenarios will make the drawingvery difficult to modify down the road. Does anybody know of asimpler way to accomplish this goal (we oftentimes use high schoolor college interns to process ECO's, so SW functional simplicity iskey)?

Thanks

Joe
