We use an in-house developed application written in Visual Basic 6 running in SQL Server 2005 Express Edition that is used for tool management for our DMG 5-axis CNC machines. We are also in the process of implementing SolidWorks EPDM 2012.

Without getting into too much details, would it be possible to use this third-party application to access data, i.e. machining programs, PDFs, in an existing EPDM vault by perhaps using some SolidWorks or third-party add-in?

I am aware that any client machine would need the SolidWorks EPDM Client installed to create a vault view and access the vault, even just for viewing purposes.

Not sure where to look at the moment, so open to any suggestions.
