I'm a land surveyor and I perfom a lot of 3D laser scanning, or High Definition Surveying, of large areas in industrial settings.  Recently we have run into a few prospective clients running solidworks.  I was wondering what type of format we would need to export our point cloud for a solidworks end user, and will solidworks be able to handle large amounts of point cloud data?  Has anyone used 3D laser scanning data in solidworks?
