So I have a 700MB .DXF file that i cannot get to open in SolidWorks, however it will open in the free DraftSight program with no issues.

Worse yet, i can use the DraftSight "Animated Rendering" and see it all rendered with surfaces and such.

What am i missing??

This is a confidential part so i cannot share it here.

At this point I can't get any other format and need to use what I have.  I just want to get some standard views (which i can in DraftSight) and make some basic drawings.  But that's a struggle as well since it's technically 3D, the views are massive and difficult to work with.

Any ideas?
