I'm curious why one would choose to have 3 wires (or 4 with ground) going into a motor symbol instead of showing what's actually happening with the motor?
Example: My specific 3 phase motor, Teco-Westinghouse XP0202, has a 12 wire configuration in which depending on your input voltage different wires are tied together with each phase. I can't represent that with the generic symbol. I feel like I'm cheating whoever will be wiring/diagnosing the system.
Is that too much detail for the schematic?
