2d simplification; in-plane loading using axi-symmetric?

I am going to be doing a series of studies investigating various geometry conditions relating to a threaded connector design and I'd like to (if i can) use 2D simplification for these studies.

I have round parts (threaded shaft, nut) and so I believe I need to use axi-symmetric symmetry.

I need to apply a load to impart a bending moment on the shaft; can I do this using 2D simplification, or does it only support radially symmetric load cases?

I'm going to be applying a tensile load as well, which I don't see any problems with, but I'm not clear on whether or not this side load will be doable.

Here's a sketch of what I want to do

BLUE= Fixation (represents a body the threaded shaft passes through)

GREEN= Axial tensile load

YELLOW= Pretension

PINK= Side load (can this be done with axial symmetry??)
