I know many people ask for suggestions on system requirements. However I could not find anything specific to my question.
I am about to spec our new systems, we will be installing 2016. My question is regarding performance of Non-native SW files. We deal with very large and complex assemblies (truck chassis) that come from the vendors and have to be converted. Of course I do all the usual's, ask for parasolids, resolve conversion errors etc.. However they still run VERY slowly on our computers. Is there something specific that can help address this? I have increased RAM on our current systems and that does help. However I am wondering if anyone knows if there is somewhere else I should be looking to beef up specs that would help address this specific issue. Processor, video card, something different? I am by far not a computer expert and essentially only know to ask for "more", but as we all know budgets usually do not allow for everything on our wishlist. So I am hoping someone might know of something particular to pay attention to when creating the spec. Thank you in advance
