I keep running into the need to have a custom message displayed when a transition condition is not met. I know in 2013 this can't be done what about in 2014?

Example:

Fred checked the drawing package and sent the file to and Approval state, where he also has approval rights. I have set a transition condition that if Fred is signed on the data card as a checker he can't approve the drawing package. However it is a default message that shows up which when we go live will confuse the crap out of Fred. I would like to be able to add a custom message "Fred you checked the drawings, therfore you can't approve them" to the transition condition. Seems like a no brainer to do something like this.

Can I do this in 2014?

Anyomne come up with a way to accomplish this?
