Hello,
Getting a little frustrated with SW 2009 at this point. Curious if anyone has had a similar experience or some insight as to the cause of some of my issues.
Q1: I no longer can make/alter the drawings of assemblies. The drawing window will either blank out gray or to the desktop image if I min/maximize. Saving has no effect. Closing the file and reopening it MIGHT allow me to see the drawing sheet for a second or two, then back to blank/background. Usually if I reload/open the file the tree on the left doesn't even load but I get the position values showing up in the taskbar on the bottom when I move the cursor around the window (standard SW background). It is the only file open.
The only thing I know that happened recently is that massive windows update with 18 updates in it. I'm curious if there are any known bugs with any of these?
I'm trying to finish up some assembly drawings/piece parts for a job, and would prefer not to upgrade to 2010 right now. Over the past month or two I feel I have already spent a sizeable chunk of time upgrading SW, finding each time that it still has a bunch of odd quirks that I need to find a work-around for.
Which leads me to Q2: Does anyone know of a way to accurately check system resources and how much SW is using/requesting? I hate to blame SW for being a util piggy when in fact my system is either not giving it what it needs or just starving in general. If I know my system is in shape and providing everything SW needs to run properly, only then will I feel comfortable saying it is much buggier than atleast 2 competitors.
Any help appreciated!!
