Looking for some help..

Years ago a PDM "vault data" folder was saved to a thumb drive.  At the time solidworks 2008 professional with pdm vault was being used on a singe machine, however the company changed hands and then closed.  

Fast-forward to 2026; I was recently able to retrieve the thumb drive with the "vault data" folder on it.  I also found the installation discs for solidworks 2008 professional with the pdm vault. I have installed everything on a computer and have 29 days to operate and extract the files until the licensing becomes a problem.  The issue is that I can not get the vault to see any of these files, despite pointing the vault to the folder in which these files are in.  What am I missing?  All I want to do is extract the latest drawings, parts, and assemblies from years ago and save them outside the vault for use without pdm works going forward. Is this possible?
