$2,000 maker license profit question.

The \$2,000 dollar profit limit seems clear in terms of selling products that are only the print itself, but what if the print is only a part of the product? If I have \$0.50 of material printed out that uses a file made with a maker's license and put it on a different material that is \$3.50, then make the total product cost \$8 at sale, does the whole \$4 profit go toward the \$2,000 limit or just the \$0.50 profit from the file-made part of the product?
