1st interview after 5 months of no work...have questions

I have had no work or income for 5 months.  I now have an interview with a comapny about an 1 1/2 hours drive from home  :-/  that I applied to about 6 weeks ago.  They sent me an agenda for my interview, which  is 3 hours(!) long.  I have not had to interview for a job in over 18 years - is this now the norm?  It will include a one hour SW test.  Although this is the same field, it is a different industry.  I of course looked at their site and have been able to download and view some of their specs, drawings, etc.

One question is there anyway to tactfully inquire as to what might be included in the test or shall I just let it be a surprise and be a nervous wreck (remember, no use for 5 months), also - can anyone give me any experience on how this "test" might go? I know every comapny is different, but any suggestions, experience helpful. Btw, I am primarily a drafter with some non-academic design (and did not claim to be anything more in my resume).

I was still doing board work at my first job 20 years ago and hvae been  at the last job for 18 ith the last 13 working from home.  Yes, I am nervous :-\

thanks!
