The (Unofficial) Guide to Differences Between Desktop SOLIDWORKS and the Maker Version of SOLIDWORKS Connected - Version 2

Hello friends. I'm not sure if an official list of differences exists. I've been using the Maker version of SOLIDWORKS Connected (aka 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS) since it was first made available in August, 2021 and here's what I've been able to compile.

Since I first published this posting, I've added a whole lot more info about launching the software, saving files, menu customization, available tutorials, and using SOLIDWORKS Rx. As a result, I've decided to convert it all into a PDF file that can be viewed here online and/or downloaded. Hence, Version 2.

I've attached a ZIP file to this post that has my customized settings file in it that contains the menu and toolbar modifications I describe in the document. You can use the "Save/Restore Settings" function from the Tools menu to integrate them into your setup.

I hope this info is helpful for you. I think it is fairly comprehensive but I would welcome someone from SOLIDWORKS to verify and, if necessary, expand this list.
