I am working on a large hydraulic hose installation set of drawings and setting some frame members etc to a light phantom line then the hose to different colors for clarity. Some valve bodies and fittings need to be visible lines so they are set to solid black. 

Now if I change a component to 'Hide' or 'Show Hidden Lines' all the component line font changes disappear and its back to square one! 

I will say Solidworks is a second language for me and not one I speak well! I speak Inventor fluidly however and many things are similar but this is ridiculously frustrating for line formatting to change on its own like this. Its as if the program gets confused and just reverts to default or something. Am I alone on this?
