Hello All,

I am new to Abaqus and I am not sure if I am using a correct procedure to run the example given?

My understanding

There are two files given in the example viz; .inp and .f

.inp is input file

.f is subroutine file

I copied the .inp content in a notepad.

Made nescessary changes as said in the .inp file. 

Further saved the modified notepad file with .inp extension

Now, I copied .f file contents in a notepad and saved this notepad file with.f extension

All the files are saved in the default folder.

Further, to run the input file, I used "abaqus job= file name without .inp extension"

Multiple files got generated. But, what about the .f file? Where should  I use it???

Is this procedure correct?? If not what will be the procedure??? (Note: I have Fortran installed and is called for when I open Abaqus command box)

Please guide and suggest!
