AmboVent, an emergency Ventilation System for a global good offers a great source of information for the emergency need of ventilators. FIRST Robotics Israel is helping out too.

It uses a Ambubag manual ventilator, and simply squeezes the bag using a motor and control board so a nurse does not have to stick around to manually ventilate the patient.
