Solidworks/PDM oldtimer here but newbie to 3Dx.

Has anyone successfully implemented a "dash number" part numbering scheme in 3Dx/Enovia? It's where the part number is 12345-01, but the drawing number is 12345. This allows tabulated variants (color, lengths, etc) on a single drawing with easy reference. I have a feel this "old school" method goes against the general philosophy of Enovia. I presume there is a way to do it manually...but I want an automated way to do this. Will I need to implement a system that has different drawing numbers versus part numbers (EIN) to get this functionality. Thanks for any tips.
