Hi!
I encountered an issue while using the Planning Structure to build an MBOM: when constructing the MBOM, the system is unable to search globally for existing Provided Parts for reuse, and instead creates new Provided Parts every time. The specific steps are as follows:
I used the "Assignment Manager" or "Create/Update Item Structure" to build an MBOM structure tree for an EBOM and saved it.(fig2)
I deleted some of the Provided Parts from the structure tree and saved the changes.
I reused the "Assignment Manager" or "Create/Update Item Structure" under the current PPR to rebuild the MBOM structure tree, but the system reported an error: "The business logic access service for the instance aggregation operation failed."(fig 4)
When I closed the PPR, reopened it, and repeated step 3, the system did not retrieve the deleted Provided Parts from the database to reconstruct the MBOM structure tree. Instead, it created new Provided Parts.(fig 5)
I have confirmed that in the client configuration, the "Implementation management" option is checked for "Use same item reference to implement multi-instantiated parts," and its sub-option is set to "Search for Scoping Item Everywhere," meaning it should search globally.
Additionally, during the above steps, if not all Provided Parts are deleted from the current PPR structure tree in step 2 (for example, originally there were 3 ProvidedPart4 instances, 2 were deleted, and 1 remains on the structure tree), then when performing an automatic project update or using the project assignment assistant for allocation, new Provided Parts are not created.
The issue persists even after restarting all servers and the database server.
Questions:
What is the problem in the above steps?
How can I ensure that "Search for Scoping Item Everywhere" takes effect and restore normal operation in the described scenario?
