During a recent call with a customer a question was raised about the possibility of using the Compare web app for comparing two filters of the same MBOM structure. The initial recommendation was to use Compare inside of the Mfg Context Bulder to compare MID structures.

After some tests, we discovered that if we load the same structure with two different filters, only the root node of the MBOM appears in both sides (Left and Right) with no children element visible and nothing to compare. If the filters are removed from either side, then the whole structure appears (Root + Children) but is of no use as the tool doesn't find any differences and no 3D window is displayed.

Is it recommended to use this tool to compare MBOM structures, or should we stay within Mfg Context Builder? I''ve been searching the documentation but haven't found anything yet that mentions a limitation regarding MID objects.
