In Manufacturing Assemblies, there is a system attribute called 'Outsourced'. Does it have any influence on any BI like the 'Planning Required' attribute can? Or is it just an attribute that is there to make use for things like Business Logic?

We are looking for a solution where the MFG Assembly needs to be marked as being a purchasable item in the ERP but all the children should not be purchased. The engineering object cannot be simply consumed as a single provided part as some of the children will need manipulating during the process planning and WIS. I think the Outsourced attribute might work but wondered if it has any other use case.
