I have come across a problem in the MID app. The structure of the design tree does not allow me to make a scope on MBOM.  If I, as a manufacturing engineer, cannot scope an Mfg Assembly to an equivalent engineering item, I will end up having multiple MBOM and Process Plan for the same design. This scenario is shown in the attached media. 

Please help me out with this critical situation.
