We got a request from a customer.

They wish to be able to "mix" manufacturing items from different assemblies but still keep the Scope links on parent assemblies.

Example:

Implement Part8 into a Sub-assembly 1 in the MBOM but still keep Scope links between the sub-assemblies AND implement link for Part8.

If I understand this correctly, that would be against the Scope Link "policy" and therefore not possible.

Only way I’ve found is to use the "Insert" functionality. However that way the implement link is not created.

They wish to keep the assembly Scope Links and all Implement links yet still be able to "mix" the MBOM structure.

Any ideas? Am I missing something?
